JUMiNGO builds software for international shipping. Customers use our platform to manage international express shipments with carriers like DHL, UPS, FedEx, GLS and DPD. Logistics is complex - our goal is to make it manageable through well-structured, reliable software.
Our backend is the backbone of our product. It handles integrations, business logic and the stability our customers rely on every day. As our platform grows, so do the demands on performance, scalability and clean system design.

Your Mission
- Take ownership of services and drive them from idea to production, from shaping requirements and technical design to implementation, rollout, and iteration
- Design, build, and evolve backend services using PHP, Symfony, and API Platform powering our logistics platform used in real production scenarios
- Work in a remote-first engineering setup with high autonomy, where decisions are made close to the code and ownership sits with the team
- Model complex logistics workflows (rates, shipments, carrier integrations, tracking, billing) in a way that stays understandable and maintainable as the system grows
- Build and evolve well-structured REST APIs with strong focus on consistency, performance, and developer experience
- Integrate with multiple external carrier APIs (DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc.), handling reliability concerns like retries, idempotency, and failure recovery
- Improve reliability and performance through profiling, query optimization, caching strategies, and pragmatic architectural decisions
- Write automated tests that provide real value and support confident deployments
- Collaborate asynchronously with frontend, product, and QA to deliver features end to end
- Contribute to technical decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
- Help evolve our service-oriented architecture pragmatically without chasing trends
What’s in Your Toolbox?
- 6+ years of professional backend experience and a passion for clean, efficient code
- A proactive, self-improving mindset that thrives in agile teams
- Proficiency in PHP and Symfony (bonus points for other frameworks)
- Solid MySQL skills—you know your joins from your indexes
- Familiarity with SOLID and DRY principles, OOP, and RESTful API design
- Fluent English (German is a plus)
