We offer exciting projects at our renowned customer Airbus Defence and Space and we are looking for a motivated employee for the position "Aerodynamics Laboratory Technician " (m/f/d).

Stellenbeschreibung

• Integration and Instrumentation of wind tunnel models
• Integration of mechanical and electromechanical components
• Strain gage application
• Sensor integration
• Support model / calibration assembly concept generation in coordination with relevant stakeholders both inside and outside of aerodynamics
• Maintenance and repair of wind tunnel models and measurement technology / data acquisition systems
• Assistance to measurement technology, electronics and wind tunnel engineers with manual tasks in the aerodynamics laboratory and during wind tunnel tests (occasional travel)
• Management of tool and inventory stock
• Support the quality assurance of outsourced components (participation in buy-off on site)
• Support model fabrication using in-house 3D print
• Contribution to test preparation
• Contribution to wind tunnel test execution in external wind tunnel facilities

Anforderungsprofil

• Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
• Alternatively:  Practical training as Electrical and Electronics Technician or Precision Mechanics with a background in Electronics with long-term background
• Good knowledge about and experience in the application of measurement technology typically used in the wind tunnel test environment is mandatory
• Hands-on attitude in the Aerodynamics Laboratory and during wind tunnel tests as well as experience in model handling should be available
• Very goog knowledge of using MS-Office
• Knowledge and experience in 3D printing is an advantage
• Fluent in German and Englisch
• Willingness to travel (3x per year 1-4 weeks / USA, NL and within Germany)
